The Purpose of this post is to update what I have found thus far concerning Amanda America Clementine McDaniel. If you are reading this for the first time please see the links under the tab at the top entitled: Research Projects in order to catch up with where we are at. Also please let it be known that I use the names McDaniel & McDaniels interchangeably, you will find a variety of spellings such as MacDaniel, McDaniel, McDannel and even McDonnel. I am talking about the same family no matter which spelling I use.
Parents of Amanda America Clementine McDaniel:
- Allen McDaniel
- Rebecca McDaniel (Maiden name currently unknown)
This is what I have found thus far concerning the siblings of Amanda and children of Allen & Rebecca, I have documentation to prove the following as well:
- Amanda A. C McDaniel (m) William Franklin Eads (son John & Polly Eads)
- Letitia McDaniel (m) Alfred Eads (Son John & Polly Eads)
- Lewis McDaniel (m) Rainey Eades (dau/Gilpen & Patsey Eades)
- J. Allen McDaniel (m) Kansadie Eades (dau/Gilpen & Patsey Eades)
The following are children of Allen & Rebecca McDaniels that I cannot account for as of the date of this post I am still researching each of them and will update once I have more concrete information on them:
- Mary McDaniels-(b) 1838 (I suspect she may have married a Stewart)
- George W. McDaniels b.1842 (have possible spouses for him I am researching now)
- Eli Henry McDaniels b.1843
- Sarah McDaniels b.1850
- Margaret McDaniels b.1853
There are Stewarts/Stewards all around this family. I find them living as neighbors and I find McDaniels marrying Stewards and Stewards marrying McDaniels all around them, I have found several Mary McDaniel Stewart/Stewards thus the reason I suspect Mary McDaniels may have married a Stewart. I have also suspected that the mother Rebecca (Allens Wife) may have been a Stewart as a Stewart was a witness to the Will of Allen McDaniels. Please note that these are only my suspicions or theories and they may in fact prove not to be true so please do not use that info and run with it until it has been proven or disproven. :-)
