As far as it is known to this researcher Phoebe may have once been married according to information contained in the 1910 Census, although she was single at the time of her death on 2 March, 1925 in Potosi, Washington, Missouri. I have been unable to locate any marriage records for her to date.
Phoebe first appears on the United State Census in the year 1850. She is living in the household of her father Martin and her stepmother Phoebe HARPER-BOUSE.

I have been unable to locate Phoebe on the 1860 Census. She next appears on the 1870 Census for Union, Fayette, Ohio. She is living in the household of one Thomas B. & Mahala THORNTON. Phoebe was listed as a Servant this census year.

By the year 1880 Phoebe is living once again in the household of her father Martin BOUSE and step mother Phoebe HARPER-BOUSE

As you can see from the screenshot of the actual census located above, Phoebe was single. There is also a new member in the household by the name of Ralph S PAUL, he is 16 and listed as a Laborer.
By the year 1900 we can see that Phoebe is once again working as a Servant and now she is residing in the household of one John S. MUDD

During the 1910 Census Phoebe was living in the household of John C. & Martha NICHOLSON. She is listed as having been a lodger, and widowed.

By 1920 she is listed as living in the household of one Leo R. & Effie E NICHOLSON. Her relationship to this couple is an Aunt.

With the exception of the one census record that states Phoebe was a Widow it appears to this researcher that she may never have married. I am unable to locate any marriage record for her and she is always listed as single on the census and other records that I have located for her.
