The BOUSE family listed here are my husband's Paternal Grandmother`s family. Her name was Stella D. BOUSE. The gentlemen that you see in the picture to the left were her brothers.
This BOUSE line has their roots in Crawford County and Washington County, Missouri. I am going to begin this post with Stella`s parents and work backwards. I will do my best to link each person to his or her Find-A-Grave profile, provided there is one. The BOUSE family has ties to the HARPER and HARMAN/HARMON families as well as many other interconnected lines.
1. John Benjamin BOUSE John B. BOUSE was born 12 September, 1870 in Crawford County, Missouri. He was the son of Amos BOUSE and Nellie Eleanor "Ellen" EYE (PHARES). On 25 December, 1889 in Crawford County, Missouri he married one Miss Maggie J. HARPER daughter of John HARPER and Mary Ruth STANFORD.
John and Mary had the following children born to their union:
2. Lola Florence BOUSE Lola was born 27 September, 1890 in Crawford County, Missouri. She married one Grover Cleveland RICKNER, son of George O. RICKNER and Angeline NORTHCUTT. They were married on 29 March, 1910 in Potosi, Washington, Missouri. To my knowledge there were four children born to their union.

2. Luther Pearl BOUSE Luther was born 2 January, 1893 in Steelville, Crawford County, Missouri. On 8 December 1915 he married one Ruth Irene FARROW. Ruth was the daughter of John Acy FARROW and Sarah Fannie GOLDEN. She was born 29 January, 1894 in DeSoto, Jefferson, Missouri. To my knowledge there were just two daughters born to their union.

2. Ace Earl BOUSE Ace was born 10 May, 1898 in Crawford County, Missouri. On 3 June, 1922 he married one Hallie BENNETT (LUMBAR). She was the daughter of Thomas Robert BENNETT and Martha Emily SOUTH. Hallie was born 9 April, 1898 in Carmi, White, Illinois. To my knowledge there were no children born to this union. Some state they had a son named William C. BOUSE but my searches have turned up nothing concerning him.If I am able to prove it I will add him here. What I do know is this: listed in the 1930 Census we find that Hallie & Earl had taken in her Sister Callie's Son Warren Gamaliel Bennett after Callie's death in 1927. There was also Earl's Brother Ray, Nephew Paul Keirn and Niece Ruth Rickner living with them.
2.Hattie M. BOUSE Hattie was born 18 September, 1901 in Crawford County, Missouri. She never married. She died at the age of 17 on 20 March, 1919.
2.John Howard BOUSE John was born 24 Feb 1904 in Crawford County, Missouri. He married one Lillie Pearl HUNINGTON. Lillie was the daughter of John Lee HUNINGTON and Amanda HARRIS. John and Lillie were married 30 October, 1924 at the home of her Parents. Lillie and Howard had four children that I can account for, born to their union, she later married again to a man named CULP.

2. Stella D. BOUSE Stella was my husband's Paternal Grandmother. Stella was born 23 January, 1907 in Crawford County, Missouri. On 24 January, 1923 in Parma, New Madrid, Missouri she married one Walter TINKER. There are four children that came from that union;however, it should be noted that there is some question concerning that father of their son Leo.

2.Walter Roy BOUSE Walter Roy BOUSE was born 30 November, 1909 in Crawford County, Missouri. I show two possible marriages for Roy. It should be noted that I am uncertain as to the accuracy of this information that I have for Roy. Please do your own research regarding him. It looks as though their may be several Roy BOUSE`s and I am not certain but what there may be a combination of two different ones here. Further research is needed on my part. The spouses I show are: Maude BERRY & Margaret MCGARIAL. I also show two possible children born to Roy and Maude:

2. Arthur Gordon BOUSE Arthur was born 7 November, 1912 in Potosi, Washington, Missouri. Arthur married one Edyth "Pearl" BELL (MAYFIELD) daughter of John Marshall BELL and Hillary "Hillie" MILLER. To this union were three children born.
