This is part two of a post containing information on Isaac Carlock FANCHER the son of Richard "Uncle Dick" FANCHER and Grandson of James F FANCHER.
Isaac resided in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and worked as a Porter for the Basin Hotel. The photo to the left is not of the Basin Hotel but the Crescent Hotel as it stood in Eureka Springs in 1886. I have included it just to show that Eureka Springs had quite a lot of beautiful and prominent hotels during the late 1800`s and early 1900`s when the FANCHER family resided there.
In the prior post I shared with you a copy of Isaac's Draft Registration record. I have also found his marriage record between he and Roberta STREETER.
Isaac and Rebecca were married 24 January, 1928 in Carroll County, Arkansas. Rebecca lived in Kensett, White County, Arkansas at the time of their marriage. She was 32 and Isaac was 50. Given their ages I am unsure if this may have been the second marriage for one or both of them. I am on the lookout for other marriage records that may pertain to the couple as well.
"Arkansas, County Marriages, 1837-1957," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NMYC-XPY : accessed 29 Jun 2013), Ike Faucher and Roberta Streeter, 1928.
More to come soon!
