Ancestry Composition

This week my husbands results started coming back for his DNA testing. One of the first things to come back was his Ancestry Composition. So I have decided to share both his and my results here to note a few differences.

These are hubbys results. Notice he too is 100% European. His is further broken down into 44.2% British and Irish, 15.5 % French and German, 1.6% Scandinavian and 0.4% Finnish. It shows that he has 33.2% Non Specific Northern European. They also have him as being 0.5% Eastern European and 0.3% Non Specific European as well as 0.1% Ashkenazi (Jew), along with 4.3% Non Specific European. Now lets compare mine:

Notice that he and I are very similar in composition. He has slightly bit more British, Irish and French and German. I show more Scandinavian and less Finnish than he does. I have a bit more Non Specific Northern European than he does. I show a small amount of Italian whereas he does not. I also show some Non Specific Southern European as well as a small amount of Eastern and Non Specific European in General. Hubby shows some Ashkenazi Jew.

23andMe did not pick up any Jew for me; however Dr. McDonalds analysis picked up some which he stated was "iffy" and some third party tools also picked up a bit of Jew as well.
