Goodbye Sweet Skylar

Today I wanted to share a video tribute I made in memory of our Grandson Skylar. If you followed my previous blog you will remember how I had posted about Skylar and his health issues. He would have been 10 months old today. Sadly he lost his battle with a rare genetic condition known as 22Q11.2 Deletion Syndrome aka Di George Syndrome or Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome. He suffered from Congenital Heart Disease known as Tetraology of Fallot with Absent Pulmonary Valve. He also had Protein Loosing Enteropathy in that his Intestines failed to process Proteins. The doctors at Saint Louis Children`s Hospital were so wonderful with Skylar. They truly did all they could to try and save our little man in the 9 months that he was there.Sadly his body was growing weaker and he was loosing his will to fight so earlier this week they sat down and told us that the best thing we could do was to allow him to go peacefully. His parents made the decision to let him go as they were tired of seeing him suffer. He is in the Arms of the Angels now where there will be no more suffering and he can run and play with our sweet granddaughter Lillianna Rose. I hope you can feel the love that I poured into this video tribute. We will lay our sweet baby boy to rest on Friday afternoon. Please continue to lift us all up in prayers and with positive thoughts. Thank you so much for being faithful readers of my blog. I hope one day soon so much tragedy subsides and I am able to get back to blogging and researching family history. Having lost two grandchildren within two months time period has been overwhelming at times. My main focus now is helping our son to adjust to life without his precious baby boy and our daughter, who is still grieving from the loss of her precious little girl just two short months ago.
