Some Updates

After having taken some time off due to the recent death of our granddaughter, I am ready to get back to doing what I love.
I am working on a new project which I will be sharing here in the next couple weeks. My husband and I are contemplating on testing our DNA on Ancestry as well in order to broaden the horizons a bit.
As you may have noticed I have changed up the look of the blog a bit. I am thinking about going with a theme for each season and or holiday from here on out. I just do not like plain ordinary blogs. The main reason I have gone without one thus far was due to the fact that it was easier for folks to print my history notes if they were on a white background and they were not forced to have to print them in color.
I have slowly been getting the hang of just how this DNA business works. Its through trial and error that I have learned how to triangulate my matches. I am making some headway in my family tree. In a future post I will share my spreadsheets with you and show you how it is that I triangulate my own matches. In order to be able to make the post I need Gedmatch to come back online, it is currently down for at least a couple more weeks. Once it is up Ill share with you how I use Gedmatch to help further my family history research as well.
