X DNA Inheritance Tools

Today I wanted to share with you some charts and tools for helping to sort your DNA matches on the X Chromosome.
This past week I transferred my raw data over from 23andMe to FT DNA in hopes of gaining some more matches.
Today I have been playing around with the tools there and found out something I was not aware of. I love the function they have that sorts your X Matches and also show every chromosome you match on. I wish 23andMe had a similar tool. I was able to connect with several matches that did not show at 23andMe, and even found some of my Gedmatch Cousins there as well. I totally recommend putting your eggs into several baskets, that is to say test at all companies.

In this post I want to share with you some Charts that I ran across today for sorting your X Ancestors. I have captured screen shots from these basic charts as I added my own ancestors in them. If anyone matches me on the X chromosome these are the ancestors that you would need to be looking for as far as matches to me. There are a few that I do not have the names as of yet so I left those off. Also, I did not add the dates but I plan on adding this information to my Connected Cousins website soon. I will post a link from my blog to that chart for my DNA cousins to find.

                                                                My Paternal X Ancestors

                                                                 My Maternal X Ancestors

If you would like to download these charts for your own use you can find them over at Genealogy Junkie Blog. The link will take you directly to the post that contains the charts for download. The charts have been created through a Creative Commons Share Alike License, you will find the information pertaining to that at the bottom of each sheet for download. Many thanks to the creator of these charts, it is going to make it so much easier for us to work with that X DNA.

Thanks to Geneaology Junkie for sharing these charts as well! Just paying it forward!
