Tombstone Tuesday: Martin Bouse

This post is part of the Tombstone Tuesday Series

This tombstone belongs to my husbands Paternal 3rd Great Grandfather, one Martin BOUSE. Martin was born 7 February, 1813 in Pendleton County, West Virginia. The son of John A BOUSE and Barbara HEDRICK.
On 12 February, 1839 he married one Louise Lovina DRACE, Martin and his first wife Louisa had three children born to their union: John Andrew, Phoebe Jane and Amos. Amos was my husbands 2nd Great Grandfather.
After Louisa died Martin married again for the second time, this time he married one Phoebe HARPER. If you have followed this family for any length of time you will see that there is lots of intermarriage between the BOUSE & HARPER families.
Martin and Phoebe had at least five, if not six children that I can account for, one I am not certain belongs to them but have included it here until I can prove otherwise: Jacob John, Elijah E, Martha E, William J. (this is the one I am not certain belongs to them) and Noah Bann as well as Martin Andrew BOUSE.
Martin passed away on his birthday, 7 February, 1902. He was 89 years of age at the time of his death. Place of Death was Bourbon, Crawford, Missouri. Martin was laid to rest in Hardy Cemetery, Crawford County, Missouri.
